Contract Work

The incumbent will teach and supervise the After School Program for children at Palmerston Public School and/or Minto-Clifford Public School for the 2021-22 school calendar year on instructional days. Primary Responsibilities: a) Implement and teach age-appropriate activities b) Enhance participants social, emotional, cognitive, physical and language skills

Qualifications

Qualifications: 1. Is a member in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators; or 2. Is a member in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers; or 3. Has a diploma or degree in child and youth care; or 4. Has a diploma or degree in recreation and leisure services; or 5. Has a diploma or degree in social work, psychology, sociology, kinesiology with a focus/experience working with children aged 4 (or if the child care is provided on or after September 1 in a calendar year, the child will attain the age of 4 in that year) to 12 years old. Additional Qualifications: 1. Standard First Aid & CPR-C 2. Safe Food Handling 3. Experience in a Child Care setting.

*All staff involved with the After School Program will be required to obtain a criminal record and vulnerable sector check prior to the start of the program.
